Facts :-
Heard today dated 24.06.2011. Appellant not present. The Department is represented by Shri S.D. Sheikh, Senior Post Master, Ajmer. He is heard.
2. It is noticed that vide RTI application dated 23.10.2010, the appellant had requested for the salary, DA, House Rent Allowance and City Compensatory Allowance paid to her husband Shri Kanhiya Lal Varlani for the month of July, 2010. The CPIO had refused to disclose this information on the basis of objection filed by Shri Kanhiya Lal Varlani.
3. In my opinion, there is absolutely no harm in disclosing the requested information to the appellant as a legally wedded wife is entitled to know the pay particulars of her husband. Even otherwise, this information is disclosable in terms of section 4(1)(b)(x) of the RTI Act, 2005. In this view of the matter, the order of the CPIO is set aside and he is hereby directed to disclose the information to the appellant in 04 weeks time.
