Sabir Ahammed ... ... for the State The petitioner is seeking bail in connection with a case relating to offences punishable under Sections 467/468/471/420/120B of the Indian Penal Code, 1860.
The learned Advocate of the petitioner submits that the said petitioner is in custody for the last 82 days.
The learned Advocate of the State very fairly admits that the relevant documents have already been seized for the purpose of investigation.
Having considered the materials in the case diary and considering the fact that the petitioner herein is in custody for the last 82 days and relevant documents have already been seized from the petitioner for the purpose of investigation, we are of the opinion that further detention of the accused/petitioner is not necessary. Therefore, the accused/petitioner, namely Shyamal Das, be released on bail upon furnishing a bond of Rs.3,000/- (Rupees Three thousand only), with one local surety of like amount, to the satisfaction of the learned Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate, Uluberia, Dist:
Howrah, subject to further condition that the said petitioner will meet the Investigating Officer once in a fortnight till the completion of the investigation.
The application for bail, thus, stands allowed.
