ORDER
This petition is filed seeking bail in Crime No.234/2012 registered by the Kakati Police Station for the offences punishable under Sections 489A, 489D r/w Section 34 of IPC on 10.08.2012.
2. It is the case of the prosecution that Anil Ganapatrao Kowadkar and his followers namely accused Nos.2 to 4 were preparing counterfeit notes and circulating them since about four months. The complainant - Inspector of Police, Rural Police Station, Belgaum conducted a raid on 10.08.2012 at 10.00 a.m. near the water tank, Kangral B.K. along with Staff. At that time, one person by seeing them was trying to escape but the complainant and his staff apprehended him and on enquiry, he disclosed his name as Anil Kowadkar and on further enquiry, he disclosed that he along with other accused were preparing counterfeit notes in his dispensary situated at Kangrali B.K. It was found that he was in possession of 200 counterfeit notes of Rs.50/- each. Hence, he was apprehended and case was registered against the petitioner and others.

3. Heard Sri.Vishwanath V. Badiger, learned counsel for the petitioner and Sri.Vinayak S. Kulkarni, learned High Court Government Pleader for the State.
4. The learned Counsel for the petitioner submits that there are no cases pending against the petitioner and also submits that the petitioner will be regular in attending Court. Hence, he submits that the petitioner may be granted bail.
5. Learned High Court Government Pleader Sri.Vinayak Kulkarni strenuously opposes the application for bail. Having regard to the nature of offences alleged against the petitioner I am of the opinion that he may be granted bail. Accordingly, petition is allowed.
6. Petitioner is directed to be released on bail on his executing a bond for a sum of Rs.25,000/- with one surety for the like sum to the satisfaction of the Court below.
