Section 9(a) in The Merchant Shipping (Prevention of Pollution by Sewage from Ships) Rules, 2010
(a)a sewage treatment plant, of the type approved by the Central Government, after taking into consideration the standards and test methods developed by the International Maritime Organisation; or
