Section 2(ii) in The U.P. State Electricity Board Establishments (Entry, Exit and Search) Regulations, 1974
(ii)'Competent authority' means the Board and includes such officer of the establishment concerned as may from time to time be designated by the Chairman or Secretary (which term shall include) member Secretary if any of the Board or, as the case may be, by the Chief Engineer or Chief Zonal Engineer concerned;
