FACTS
Heard today dated 12.11.2012. Appellant not present. MRPL is represented by Shri Sushil Chandra, GM (HR) and Shri P. A. Jose, DGM (CPIO).
2. Shri Chandra submits that Dr. Devayani Shetty is an employee of Jan Seva Trust which runs the MRPL Hospital and Guest House which is fully funded by MRPL. Thus, though Dr. Shetty is not an employee of MRPL, he has an indirect connection with MRPL. He submits that in the RTI application dated 26.7.2011, the appellant has sought to know asto whether said Dr. Shetty had signed the Income Tax Statement of 2010 of Swastic Coco Products Pvt. Ltd and whether she had signed the guarantee for the car loan advanced to Shri Saradh Chandra Sheety for Swatic Coco Products Pvt. Ltd. He submits that he had issued notice to Dr. Shetty u/s 11 (1) to seek her consent but Dr. Shetty had not agreed for the disclosure whereupon he had passed an order dated 6.9.2011 refusing to disclose any information in the matter.
3. Apart from Dr. Shetty's non-consent, it is to be noted that the appellant has sought personal information about Dr. Shetty which is barred from disclosure u/s 8 (1) (j) of the RTI Act. Hence, I find no infirmity in the decision of the AA. The appeal is, therefore, dismissed.
