1. The writ petition is at the instance of the petitioners, who sought for treatment at par with other language teachers and grant them the same scales as were extended to teachers teaching Sanskrit language in State of Haryana. This issue was considered by a Division Bench of this Court in LPA No.767 of 1995 titled State of Haryana & Anr. v. Attar Singh Sharma & Ors. dated 05.07.2006. In this appeal, the Division Bench has accepted the plea of the State that higher scales to persons, who have qualified in Sanskrit with Shashtri and one year OT CWP No.18184 of 1996(O&M) [2] diploma, were specifically given to encourage the study of the particular language and a parity cannot be given to persons in other streams of the vernacular languages.

2. In terms of the judgment referred to above, the plea made by the claimants cannot survive favourable consideration. The writ petition is dismissed.
