SHRI BIKASH CHOWDHURY (ASANSOL): Mr. Speaker, Sir, I would like to draw urgent attention of this House and that of the concerned Ministers to the problems being faced by workers of M/s Bharat Ophthalmic Glass Limited, Durgapur due to non-payment of wages and other dues. These workers have not been paid their salary for the last two or three months. Some outstanding dues, which are to be paid by that factory, are also not being paid because of which the manufacturing process is being hampered.
In this context, it has been reported that some non-Plan financial assistance was assured. But till this time, that assistance has not been made available to that undertaking. That is why I want to draw the attention of this House to make the payment of non-Plan financial assistance available as early as possible.
