Date : 31.01.2022 Heard Mr. D.J. Deka, learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr. P.S. Lahkar, learned Additional Public Prosecutor for the respondent State of Assam.

This petition under Section 482 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, 1973 Page No. 2/2 [CrPC] has been preferred seeking quashing of the First Information Report [FIR] dated 14.09.2021, lodged in connection with BI[EO] Police Station Case no. 18/2021 and the criminal proceeding initiated against the petitioner thereby.

Issue notice, returnable in 4 [four] weeks.

As Mr. P.S. Lahkar, learned Additional Public Prosecutor has appeared and accepted notice on behalf of the respondent State of Assam, no formal notice needs to be issued to the said respondent.

The learned counsel for the petitioner shall, however, supply an extra copy of the petition along with annexures to Mr. Lahkar within 3 [three] days from today.

The petitioner shall also take steps for service of notice upon the respondent no. 2 by registered post with A.D. within 3 [three] days from today.

List the case accordingly after 4 [four] weeks.
