PRAYER: This petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of
India to issue a writ of Mandamus directing the respondents herein to ensure
full protection with Personal Security Officers (PSO) to the petitioner herein
as required to a person who has got threat perception based on the
petitioner's representation dated 17.12.2018.

ORDER
This petition is filed to direct the respondents herein to ensure full protection with Personal Security Officers (PSO) to the petitioner herein as required to a person who has got threat perception based on the petitioner's representation dated 17.12.2018.

2. The case of the petitioner is that the petitioner is the Secretary of the Tamil Pulikal Political party which is the party involving itself for the progressive of education and economical status of socially marginalized and economically weaker sections of our society. While so some persons were causing trouble to the petitioner not to do the social work and threatening him over phone. Hence the petitioner filed a representation before the respondent on 17.12.2018 seeking police protection to petitioner. However, no action was taken against the officials concerned till date, which leads to filing of the present petition.
3. The learned counsel for the petitioner submits that when the petitioner was travelling some unknown persons came in the opposite direction and dashed him, due to which the petitioner suffered serious injury and was hospitalized immediately in ANB private hospital. Hence prays this Court may issue a direction to the respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 17.12.2018 and provide police protection to the petitioner.

4. The learned Government Advocate would submit that the petitioner's representation will be considered on merits and action will be taken as expeditiously as possible.
5. In the above facts and a representation having already been filed by the petitioner, there shall be a direction to the respondents/police to consider the petitioner's representation on its own merits and pass orders in accordance with law as expeditiously as possible from the date of receipt of copy of this order.
