Section 27(1) in Statute of the Indian Institute of Engineering Science and Technology, Shibpur Statute, 2017
(1)Notwithstanding anything contained in these Statues, the Board may in special circumstances with the prior approval of the Visitor appoint an eminent person on contract for a period not exceeding five years.
