Section 23(2)(d) in The Assam Gratuity Act, 1992

(d)make copies of, or take extracts from, any book, register or other document maintained in connection with the Gratuity Fund and, where he has reason to believe that any offence under the Act and the Scheme has been committed by an employer, seize, with such assistance, as he may think fit, such books, registers or other documents as he may consider relevant;
