Section 3(1)(a) in The Gujarat Emergency Medical Services Act, 2007

(a)The State Government may, by notification in the Official Gazette, appoint an officer to be the Director of Emergency Medical Services Authority who shall, subject to the control of the Authority, exercise such powers and perform such functions and duties as are conferred to or imposed on him by or under this Act.
