6. Appointment of Oil Palm Inspectors.
(1)Subject to such rules as may be made in this behalf, the Government may appoint such number of Officers of the Government as Oil Palm Inspectors for such areas as may be specified under this Act, to exercise the powers and perform the functions of Oil Palm Inspectors under this Act.(2)Notwithstanding anything contained in sub-section (1), the Government may designate any officer of the Department of Agriculture not below the rank of Agriculture Officer to exercise the powers and perform the functions of the Oil Palm Inspector under this Act.
