Section 6(2) in The Mizoram Autonomous District Council (Constitution and Conduct of Business of the District Councils) Rules, 1974
(2)Each District Council shall be a body corporate (by the name of theDistrict Council), shall have perpetual succession and a common seal and shall by the said name sue and be sued.
