Section 1 in The Bengal Legislative Assembly (Members' Emoluments) Act, 1937
1. Short title and commencement.
(1)This Act may be called the Bengal Legislative [Assembly] [Word substituted for the word 'Chambers' by the Indian Independence (Adaptation of Bengal and Punjab Acts) Order, 1948.] (Members' Emoluments) Act, 1937.(2)It shall be deemed to have come into force from the first day of April, 1937.
