Any candidate may withdraw his candidature by notice in writing subscribed by him and delivered to the Returning Officer upto 3 O'clock in the afternoon on the date succeeding that appointed for the scrutiny of nominations. A candidate who has withdrawn his candidature shall not be allowed to cancel the withdrawal or to be re-nominated as a candidate for the same election. The candidature of any candidate shall remain valid for all purposes of these rules unless withdrawn in accordance with this rule.Election and voting [in respect of elections under clauses (c), (e) and (f) of Section 4.]
