                                          ORDER

Shri Manoj Kumar, the appellant has filed this appeal dated 25.2.2011 before the Commission against Delhi Police, Crime, New Delhi for providing incomplete information to his RTI-request dated 9.12.2010, which came up for hearing on 24.05.2011. The appellant was present in person, whereas the respondents were represented by Shri Ravi Datt, Inspector, Shri Prem Chandra Khanduri, Inspector and Shri Surender Gandhi, ASI.

2. The appellant filed RTI-request dated 9.12.2010 seeking information on seven RTI- queries pertaining to a complaint against Shri Varun Sahni, Head Constable for purchase of pirated software for E.O.W. Crime Branch. The PIO vide letter No. 241/PIO/Crime dated 28.1.2011 has replied to the appellant stating that the said complaint is under investigation.

3. Aggrieved by the decision of PIO, the appellant filed first-appeal 20.1.2011 before the FAA. The FAA vide order No. 04/11/29-30/PIO/Appeal dated 5.2.2011 has upheld the decision of PIO.

4. During the hearing the respondents submitted that the matter is still under investigation regarding the supply of pirated software purchased for E.O.W. Crime Branch.

5. After hearing the parties and on perusal of the relevant documents on file, the PIO is directed to provide present status of the enquiry and name of officers who are conducting the enquiry, to the appellant within two weeks of the receipt of this order.

The appeal is disposed of accordingly with the above directions.
