(1)Subject to the provisions of this section, the provisions of the four last preceding sections and any rules made there under shall apply in relation to any person who was appointed before the commencement of Part III of this Act by the Secretary of State in Council to a civil service of, or a civil post under, the Crown in India as they apply in relation to persons appointed to a civil service or, civil post by the Secretary of State.
