12. Penalties.
(1)Every person or occupier of a factory who contravenes the provisions of sub-sections (1) and (2) of section 8 and sub-section (4) of section 10 shall be punishable with fine which may extend to rupees ten thousand and in the case of a continuing contravention of the provisions of the said sections, with a further fine not exceeding rupees one thousand for each day during which the contravention continues.(2)Any person or occupier of a factory contravening any of the provisions of this Act or of any rules or order made under this Act for which no penalty is provided under subsection (1), shall be punishable with fine which may extend to rupees five thousand.
