Pursuant to the previous direction of this court, two reports are filed by the CESC Limited, which be kept on record. One of the reports indicates that it is feasible technically to give an electricity connection to the petitioners. It is also clear from the other report that there has been no pilferage on the part of the petitioners, as alleged by the respondent no. 4.

It is submitted by learned counsel for the CESC Limited that copies of the said reports have already been circulated to the learned advocate appearing for the respondent no. 4.

Since an adjournment is sought at this juncture on behalf of the private respondent on the ground of illness of the learned advocate for the said respondent, the matters is adjourned and shall next be listed for hearing on May 10, 2023.

It is made clear that the private respondent shall make alternative arrangement and/or ensure that his counsel is present to contest the matter on the next date when it is taken up for hearing; otherwise the matter shall be decided in the absence of the private respondent.
