Section 6(1)(ii) in The Inland Vessels (Grant of Certificate of Competency to Masters and Serangs of Inland Vessels) (Orissa) Rules, 1984

(ii)testimonials and discharge certificates, if any, in original, regarding character, sobriety, experience, ability and good conduct on board ship and inland vessels for at least the last twelve months of his service preceding the date of his application from the employer or from a Gazetted Officer in case of unemployed candidates for permission to appear at the examination;
