(i)constructing, altering and maintaining public streets, culverts, municipal boundary marks, markets [(including separate and suitable place for vending vegetables)] [Inserted by Act 83 of 1976 w.e.f. 8-12-1976.], slaughter houses, latrines, privies, urinals, drains, sewers, drainage works, sewage works, baths, washing places, drinking fountains, tanks, wells, dams and the like;
