Section 22(1)(b) in The Mizoram Autonomous District Council (Constitution and Conduct of Business of the District Councils) Rules, 1974

(b)may at any time by writing under his hand submit his resignation, if a member is the Chief Executive Member, through the Chairman and if such member is a member of the Executive Committee, through the Chief Executive Member to the Governor. On his resignation being accept by the Governor, the Chief Executive Member, or the Executive Member, as the case may be, shall be deemed to have vacated his office.
