Section 8(1) in The Merchant Shipping (Prevention of Pollution by Sewage from Ships) Rules, 2010

(1)The International Sewage Pollution Prevention Certificate or, as the case may be, the Indian Sewage Pollution Prevention Certificate shall be issued valid for a maximum period of five years.
