Section 31 in The Gujarat Water Users' Participatory Irrigation Management Act, 2007
31. Election of Chairperson.
(a)On the constitution of the Committee, there shall be called the first meeting thereof for the election of its Chairperson from amongst the members.(b)The meeting shall beheld on such date within four weeks from the date on which the Managing Committee is constituted, as may be fixed by the Competent Authority, and shall be presided over by the Competent Authority who shall have such powers and follow such procedure as he deems fit but shall not have the right to vote.
