Learned counsel for the petitioners submits that the petitioners, who belong to the Scheduled Caste (Vimukat Jatis/Bazigars) are entitled for the benefit of 2% reservation against the posts which are still lying vacant but the same are not being given to the petitioners and that too without there being any valid justification despite the fact that the law on the said issue has already been settled by this Court while passing order in CWP-16983-2012 titled as Paviter Singh and another vs. State of Punjab and others decided on 29.11.2016.
