6.Learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondent relied upon a judgment of this Court authored by one of us (Hon'ble Mr. Justice S.S.Sundar) in the case of Periyaraj v. State represented by Chief Secretary, Social Welfare Department and others [W.A.(MD) No.1435 of 2023, dated 05.09.2023], wherein, this Court only held that, if the Scheme framed by the Government for compassionate appointment does not permit entertaining an application by a dependent after attaining majority, then such an application cannot be considered. In the said judgment, this Court also relied upon a few other judgments of Hon’ble Supreme Court.
