Having regard to the aforesaid position, therefore, it would be appropriate and in the interest of justice to put an end to the proceedings while quashing the FIR in question, as also the consequent charge-sheet filed before the trial Court. Therefore, FIR No. 05/2019 dated 23.02.2019, registered with Police Station, Women Cell, Jammu and the challan bearing No. 04/2019 titled as, "State Vs. Pritish Mahajan", pending before the Court of Electricity Magistrate (Sub-Judge), Jammu shall stand quashed.
