It is, however, clarified that in the eventuality of the petitioner's
claim being found covered under the decision of this Court in Gurdev
Singh's case (supra), it shall be open for the respondent- authorities to limit
the benefit of actual arrears to a period of 38 months prior to the date of
filing of this petition.
