Neti Anjaneyalu vs Sri Venugopal Rice Mill (Limited) on 11 January, 1922
Such lands it was held in Anjaneyalu v. Sri Venugopala, Rim Mill, Ltd. (1922) I.L.R. 45 Mad. 620, to be inalienable by reason of Section 6(d) of the Transfer of Property Act as it "was opposed to the nature of the interest affected thereby". In. our view, the ratio of these cases must apply to the case where a tenant is a monthly tenant governed by the Rent Act unless his tenancy is made alienable under the proviso to Section 15(7) of the Bombay Rent Act.
