2010"}, the period of probation is prescribed in Regulation 11 'Period of
Probation and Confirmation' as under:-
"11.0 PERIOD ... entire period of probation including the extended period
of probation. There is no clause of "deemed confirmation" in the offer of
appointment. Further
that the probation with maximum three years of probation is directory and
not mandatory and the probationer is not in fact confirmed till such order ... expiry of the period of probation or the extended period
of probation, as the case may be confirmed with effect from
the date of expiry
such a notice he would be
deemed to have been confirmed. The probation period in
no case shall be extended beyond two years from ... appointed temporarily, the employee
appointed on one year's probation would be
confirmed if his work is found satisfactory
that the period of probation was not found
satisfactory. Even if maximum period of probation has expired
and any order confirmation has not been passed ... probation/extended period of
probation/maximum period of probation without a decision
having been taken within the specified period as to whether the
probation

8. Probation of members of Service
(a) Members of the Service shall be on probation ... below:
CONFIRMATION:
i) Confirmation will be made only once in the
service of an official which will be in the entry
grade.
ii) Confirmation
deemed to be confirmation. So long as the
order of confirmation
confirmation is not passed, even after expiry of probation, the
probationer may continue ... would arise where the
probationer despite being unfit for confirm
confirmation, is deemed to be
confirmed, bringing into the service an employee of doubtful integrity
probation but not member who
has thus officiated shall on the completion of the prescribed
period of probation, be entitled to be confirmed, unless ... probation is allowed to continue in that post after completion
of the maximum period of probation without an express
order of confirmation, he cannot
that post on probation for a specified period, but
no member on the completion of his period of probation be
confirmed otherwise than against ... confirmation and thus confirming against the only
available vacancy. It may some times happen that many
persons may have both the qualifications of probation
conclusion of
the original period of probation. While on probation
officers may be reverted or their period of probation may
be extended without departmental proceedings ... expiry of the period of
probation or the extended period of probation, as the
case may be confirmed with effect from the date of
expiry
probation, but no person who has
so officiated shall, on the completion of the
prescribed period of probation be entitled to
be confirmed unless ... period of probation is specified,
it does not follow that at the end of the said
specified period of probation he obtains
confirmation automatically even
