permanent workers are employed against 4171
sanctioned posts. In addition there are 1403 muster
roll workers. Apart from these workers, contract
labour is also engaged ... deaths of
sewer workers since 2002 out of which 30 were
contract workers and 6 were in regular employment.
It was also noted that
contract labour is not permissible in view of the abolition of contract labour by a notification under Section 10 of the Act, such contract workers ... license under Section 12 of the Act and still contract labour is engaged such contract workers would be treated as direct employees of the principal
ultimately it is found that contract labour in respect of jobs/work/process undertaken by these contract workers in respect of the offices/establishments where ... contract workers.
2. In case of contract with a particular contractor who has engaged these petitioners/contract workers, comes to an end the said contract
Tribunal, and have made claim for and on behalf of 267 contract workers
who have been outsourced by the outsourcing agencies of the petitioner ... vide order
dated 30th June, 2014.
11. In the meantime, the contracted workers/respondents i.e., the workers
who were outsourced by the agencies
recommended that the contract labour may not be prohibited.
However, same wages should be paid to these categories of
contract workers employed ... contract of principal employer with the contractor in regard to the contract labour comes to an end;
