197. Issuing or signing false certificate.—
Whoever issues or signs any certificate required by law to be given or signed ... fact of which such certificate is by law admissible in evidence, knowing or believing that such certificate is false in any material point, shall
thereunder as the
appellant had obtained appointment on the basis of false caste certificate and
would be deemed not to have been appointed ... seat
reserved for a Scheduled Caste on the basis of false caste certificate. After
the passing of the order by the High Court, an order
person, who has obtained
appointment on the basis of a false certificate, cannot retain the said
benefit. (See Bank of India v. Avinash D. Mandivikar ... cancel the employment
obtained on the basis of the false certificate so that the post may
be filled up by a candidate who is entitled
