Maharashtra Land Revenue Code, 1966 (for short "MLRC") which
interalia empower the Collector to remove encroachments on

Section 4 of the MLRC, 1966 reads thus:

8. The relevant study with respect to replenishment plan
2018 passed by the
Additional Collector, Konkan under section 257 of MLRC directing
cancellation of mutation entry no.1787 in respect of land under

under Section 155 of the Maharashtra Land Revenue Code, 1966 (MLRC)
which pertains to correction of clerical errors. However the Tahsildar
without realizing that ... made before him by Respondent No. 5 under Section 155 of
the MLRC for change in mutation entry. In view thereof, the impugned
exercise of powers under Section 247 of the Maharashtra
Land Revenue Code (MLRC) 1966, allowed the application of the
