Monuments and Archaeological Sites
and Remains Act, 1968 (Act 26 of 1969) (hereinafter referred
to as the 'Act ... Ancient Monuments Preservation Act, 1904 (Central Act 7 of
1904).
14. Section 2 (a) of the Act, 1968 defines ancient
monument to mean as follows

rule, byelaw, notification etc. made under such law(s) and any Acts
like the Ancient Monuments and Archaeological
Sections 3 and 4 of the Indecent Representation of Women (Prohibition Act), 1980, reads as follows:
"3. Prohibition of advertisements containing indecent representation ... ancient monument within the meaning of the Ancient Monument and Archaeological sites and Remains Act, 1958 (24 of 1958), or
(ii) any temple
rehabilitation, resettlement to the
cases of land acquisition under the 13 Acts specified in the Fourth
Schedule to the RFCTLARR as extended to the land ... Fourth Schedule are as follows:-
(1) The Ancient Monuments and Archaeological Sites and Remains
Act, 1958 ;
(2) The Atomic Energy Act, 1962 ;
(3) The Damodar

Remains Act, 1958 in the year 2010, to include provisions for regulation ... each centrally protected
monument/site. That apart it is contended that the provisions of the Town and
Country Planning Act in force cannot overlook
