1. Short title, extent and commencement.
(1)This Act may be called the Jammu and Kashmir Good Conduct Prisoners (Temporary Release) Act, 1978.(2)It extends to the whole of the State of Jammu and Kashmir.(3)[ It shall come into force on such date as the Government may, by notification in the Government Gazette, appoint.] [Enforced vide SRO-482 dated 12-8-1978 w.e.f. 15-8-1978.]
