ORDER
1. The Appellant filed an RTI application dated 01.07.2024 seeking information on the following points:
For a host of LONG pending issues with esteemed Union Bank of India, we had sought resolution assistance with our Bank at various levels, however, No good support on various issues including privacy breaches. HENCE, WE ARE NOW APPROACHING ESTEEMED UNION BANK OF INDIA, THIS TIME, VIDE RTI, AS WE FIRMLY BELIEVE ONLY RTI WOULD GIVE US EXACT RESOLUTION, AS BASE BRANCHES AND REGIONAL OFFICE CHENNAI NORTH IS SILENT FOR A LONGER PERIOD OF TIME, JUST UNUSUAL AND UNHEALTHY AND UNPROFESSIONAL APPROACH.Page 1 of 4
We expect point wise reverts on the above, as your PRESENT 11291 Sathyamurthy Nagar Branch STAFFS FAILED to support with resolution, as ALREADY REQUESTED VIDE VARIOUS EMAILS LONG TIME BACK ITSELF, SUFFICIENT PROOFS ATTACHED HEREWITH.
WE ARE SEEKING JUSTICE VIA RTI, AS MANY OF OUR BASIC AND ALL OUR ATTEMPTS TO LIAISE WITH LOCAL 11291 Sathyamurthy Nagar Branch OFFICE AND REGIONAL OFFICE CHENNAI NORTH WAS A CLEAR FAILURE, TILL THIS MOMENT, Kindly extend Immediate and correct and complete support Sirs, Srinivas A (01.07.2024) Attachments:

2. The CPIO replied vide letter dated 08.08.2024 and the same is reproduced as under :-
Page 2 of 4"It is to inform you that you have not sought any specific information and the contents of your application are of complaint nature. The Right to Information Act. 2005 provides right to the citizens to get information and not to make complaints."
3. Dissatisfied with the response received from the CPIO, the Appellant filed a First Appeal dated 09.08.2024 alleging that the information provided was incomplete, false and misleading. The FAA vide order dated 21.09.2024 upheld the reply given by the CPIO.
4. Aggrieved with the FAA's order, the Appellant approached the Commission with the instant Second Appeal dated 25.09.2024.
5. The appellant remained absent and on behalf of the respondent Dhananjay Kumar Mishra, Chief Manager (Law) attended the hearing through video conference.
6. The respondent while defending their case inter alia endorsed their initial reply dated 08.08.2024. Further, the CPIO stated that the name of the appellant was wrongly spelt in the FAA's order and requested that the same may be considered corrected.
7. The Commission after adverting to the facts and circumstances of the case, hearing the respondent and perusal of records, observes that the CPIO has provided an appropriate reply to the RTI Application as per the provisions of the RTI Act. Further, in the absence of the Appellant to plead his case or contest the CPIO's submissions, the Commission finds no scope of intervention in the matter. Accordingly, the appeal is dismissed.
Copy of the decision be provided free of cost to the parties.
