(1)The jurisdiction of the University shall extend to the whole of the Union territory of Pondicherry:Provided that the University may, at the request of the Administrator of the Union Territory of the Andaman and Nicobar Islands or of the Union territory of Lakshadweep and with the prior approval of the Central Government, extend its jurisdiction to those Territories.
