39. Fixation of fee.
(1)The fee in respect of forty percent of the admissions in all courses of the university for which admissions are made through a Common Entrance Examination conducted by the State Government or its agency under the proviso to section 9 shall be the fees, as fixed by the State Government, for Government seats from time to time, in accordance with the consensual agreement entered into by the Government and the University in accordance with the Karnataka Professional Educational Institutions (Regulation of Admission and Determination of Fee) Act, 2006 (Karnataka Act 8 of 2006).(2)In respect of other seats of the University, the fee shall be determined by the Fee Regulatory Committee constituted under the chairmanship of a retired Judge of the High Court in accordance with the provisions of section 6 of the Karnataka Professional Educational Institutions (Regulation of Admission and Determination of Fee) Act, 2006 (Karnataka Act 8 of 2006). For the purpose of this section, the University shall be deemed to be the Private Unaided Professional Educational Institution.Chapter - VI Miscellaneous
