Section 34(1) in The City of Nagpur Corporation Act, 1948
(1)The Corporation shall, at its first meeting each year, elect ten out of its number to be members of the Standing Committee. Members of the Standing Committee shall, subject to the provisions of section 38, hold office until the first meeting of the Corporation in the next following years.
