WRIT PETITION Nos.2944 and 2950 OF 2015
COMMON ORDER:
As the issue involved in both these cases is one and the same, these writ petitions are decided by way of a common order.
(a). W.P. NO. 2944 of 2015:
The present writ petition came to be filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India seeking the following relief:
"...to issue a writ, order or direction more particularly one in the nature of Writ of Mandamus to declaring the action of the respondents in not providing the employment to the petitioners herein under land looser category while appointing other land oustees in Rayalaseema Thermal Power Project (RTPP) in spite of petitioners being eligible as per the scheme issued in G.O.Ms.No.98, dt.15.04.1986, and further action of the respondents in making appointments to the posts without implementing rule of reservation in favour of women as illegal, arbitrary and violative of Article 14 & 16 of the Constitution of India..."
(b). W.P. NO. 2950 of 2015:
The present writ petition came to be filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India seeking the following relief:
"...to issue a writ, order or direction more particularly one in the nature of Writ of Mandamus to declaring the action of the respondents in not providing the employment to the petitioners herein under land looser category while appointing other land oustees in Rayalaseema Thermal Power Project (RTPP) in spite of petitioners being eligible as per the scheme issued in G.O.Ms.No.98, dt.15.04.1986, and consequently direct the respondents to provide the employment to the petitioners herein under land looser category as per the scheme issued in G.O.Ms.No.98, dt.15.04.1986 and to pass..."
2. When these matters came up for hearing on 19.02.2015, this Court granted an interim order as follows:
"...there shall be a direction to the respondents to consider the case of the petitioners, if there are any vacancies existing to be filled up from BC-D woman category, in accordance with merit, priority and the scheme regarding land losers..."

The respondent Nos. 2 and 4 herein, filed a counter stating that, in case any vacancies are available under land losers category as per the notification issued for recruitment of JPA, the case of the petitioners may be considered for appointment. If the vacancies have been filled up and no posts are available, then as per Rule-4(1) of G.O.Ms.No.98, dated 15.04.1986, the petitioner may be considered for appointment, filled in by the candidates belonging to B.C-D(W) category in the 50% posts that may arise in the future.
4. Today, when the matter came up for hearing, learned counsel for the petitioners had produced a copy of the order in W.P.No.5627 of 2015, passed under similar circumstances, wherein, this Court has directed as follows:
"...5. Having regard to the facts and circumstances of the case and considering the submissions made by both the learned counsel, this Court deems it appropriate to dispose of the Writ Petition directing the respondents to consider the case of the petitioner for appointment of any suitable post and the said process shall be completed within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order..."

In view of the interim orders granted by this Court on 19.02.2015 and as well as considering the order passed by this Court in W.P.No.5627 of 2015, this Court feels it appropriate to dispose of this writ petition by directing the respondents to consider the case of the petitioners for appointment to any suitable post under land losers quota and the said process shall be completed within a period of eight (8) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
Accordingly, with the above direction, these Writ Petitions are disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
As a sequel thereto, miscellaneous petitions, if any, shall stand closed.
