Section 13(1) in The Maharashtra Cooperative Societies Rules, 1961
(1)Subject to the provisions of this rule, the Registrar may by serving a notice in Form 'E' call upon a society to make such amendment to the bye-laws of the society as he considers to be necessary or desirable in its interest, [or as the provisions in bye-laws are inconsistent with the provisions of this Act and rules] [Inserted by Notification No. CSL-2014/697/C.R.04/13C, dated 30.8.2014 (w.e.f. 23.12.1961).] within a period not exceeding two months from the date of service of notice. The notice shall state the exact amendment which the society should make.
