Section 5 in The Assam Agricultural University Act, 1968
5. Objects of the University.
- The University shall be established and incorporated for the following purposes :(1)Making provisions for imparting education to the people in agriculture and other allied branches of learning.(2)Furthering the advancement of learning and prosecution of research in agricultural and other allied sciences.(3)Undertaking the extension of such sciences specially to the rural people of the State.
