Section 1 in Andhra Pradesh Residential and Non-Residential Premises Tenancy Act, 2017
1. Short title, extent and commencement.
(1)This Act may be called the Andhra Pradesh Residential and Non-Residential Premises Tenancy Act, 2017.(2)It shall extend to all urban areas and to such of the Gram Panchayats where Mandal Praja Parishad head quarters are situated in the State of Andhra Pradesh.Provided that the State Government may by notification exclude any area or units or class of buildings from the operation of this Act or any provision thereof.(3)It shall come into force on such date as the State Government may, by notification in the Andhra Pradesh Gazette appoint and different dates may be appointed for different provisions of the Act.
