The village watchmen shall be armed [with a spear or club and with a sword] [Substituted for the words 'with a spear and sword' See Punjab Government Notification No. 405, dated the 6th April, 1898.] and shall wear a uniform dress consisting of a wadded chapkan of dark blue for winter wear, and a course cloth chapkan red blue for summer, and a blue turban.
