1. Short title, extent and commencement.
(1)This Act may be called the Maharashtra Co-operative Societies Act, 1960.(2)It extends to the whole of the State of Maharashtra.(3)It shall come into force on such [date] [26th day of January 1962, vide G.N., C. & R.D.D. No. SCL 1061/135-G, dated 24th January 1962.] as the State Government may, by notification in the Official Gazette, appoint.
