Section 34(1) in Telangana District Boards Act, 1955
(1)Except as is otherwise provided in this Act, members shall hold office for a term of three years:Provided that the Government may, by notification in the Official Gazette, for sufficient cause which shall be stated therein, direct that the term of office of the members of any Board as a whole be extended by such period or periods, not exceeding one year, as may be specified in the notification.
