54D. [ Penalty for criminal conspiracy]. [Added by Act No. 6 of 2007 (w.e.f. 6.6.2007)]
Whoever is a party to a criminal conspiracy to commit an offence punishable under this Act shall be punished in the same manner as if he had committed such offence.Explanation. - For the purposes of this section the expression "criminal conspiracy" shall have the same meaning as is in section 120A of the Indian Penal Code, 1860 (Central Act No. 45 of 1860).
