This is a petition for regular bail under Section 439 Cr.P.C. on behalf of the petitioner, in case FIR No.108 dated 15.05.2017, under Sections 420, 489, 489-A, 489-C, 489-D and 120-B of the Indian Penal Code, registered at Police Station Patran, District Patiala.

Seen reply by way of a short affidavit of Deputy Superintendent of Police filed on behalf of the State.

It does not answer the question whether there is any forensic evidence linking the seized fake currency to the printer/equipment recovered from the petitioner.

In the meantime, the petitioner has undergone detention well in excess of 9 months.

In the circumstances, he may be released on bail to the satisfaction of the Ld. Trial Court with a further direction to report at the Police Station once a week during the pendency of the trial.
